New Pumpkin Picking Event Listings
Developed and delivered by Visit York as part of the city’s annual Haunted York campaign, a new event category has launched on VisitYork.org to promote pumpkin picking experiences across York and its surrounding countryside this Halloween season.
The dedicated “Pumpkin Picking” listings page brings together a variety of seasonal events — from family-friendly farm days and countryside experiences to themed pumpkin nights and after-dark adventures — all in one easy-to-browse location. Designed to celebrate autumn in York’s beautiful rural settings, the new section encourages visitors to explore beyond the city centre and discover local farms and attractions offering quintessential autumn experiences.
Running throughout October 2025, the new listings feature popular seasonal events such as Farmer Ed’s Pumpkin Patch, The Great Yorkshire Pumpkin Patch, and Spooky Sledmere, highlighting the wide variety of activities available across the region. The initiative sits within Visit York’s Haunted York digital campaign, which showcases York as one of the UK’s leading destinations for Halloween experiences.
By curating and promoting pumpkin picking events through VisitYork.org, Make It York continues to support local attractions and rural tourism businesses, driving awareness and visitor engagement throughout the autumn period. The campaign strengthens York’s reputation as a welcoming, year-round destination and celebrates the seasonal character that makes the city and its surroundings so special.
Members who would like to add their own Halloween or pumpkin-themed events to VisitYork.org can do so easily through their business login - simply add the category 'Pumpkin Picking' to your event.
