Partnering with Beyond the Brochure to Showcase York’s Event Potential
Make It York, as destination partner, supported the delivery of the Beyond the Brochure York FAM trip on 24 March, welcoming UK event planners to experience the city’s diverse and high-quality event offer first-hand.
The familiarisation visit was designed to give buyers an immersive introduction to York as a business events destination. The programme brought together a range of venues who opened their doors to showcase the breadth of venues and experiences available across the city.
Participating venues in the busy itinerary included Visit York members The Hospitium, Delta Hotels by Marriott York, STEM Learning UK, The Milner York and The Guildhall, where the day concluded with a three-course dinner. The experience was further enhanced by local suppliers, including Indie Food Tours with Ellen Miller and an introduction to the history of The Guildhall by Love Yorkshire Blue Badge guide Sarah Cowling.
The visit provided attendees with the opportunity to explore York’s unique blend of heritage venues and contemporary event spaces, while building valuable connections with local teams and partners.
