Developed as part of Visit York’s ongoing commitment to member engagement, we hosted a complimentary skating experience in collaboration with the team at Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland at York Designer Outlet on Tuesday 2 December 2025. 

The session invited Visit York members to enjoy a 45-minute skate on the North of England’s largest outdoor ice rink, complete with a 30-foot sparkling Christmas tree at its centre. 

Surrounded by illuminated trees, a rink-side café and viewing platform, Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland provided a festive backdrop for the occasion. Attendees were also able to enjoy the wider attraction, with the option to purchase tokens for classic funfair rides, as well as sample winter-warming food and drinks from the Chalet café.

By offering members access to one of York’s most iconic seasonal experiences, Visit York continues to strengthen connections while showcasing the appeal of the city's attractions. The event forms part of Visit York’s wider work to support members and champion York as a vibrant, year-round destination.
