Supporting Key Asian Travel Trade Partners During Miki Travel FAM Visit

Visit York recently supported Miki Travel’s Asia FAM trip during the group’s short evening visit to the city, offering on-the-ground assistance and valuable destination insight as part of York’s ongoing work to strengthen relationships with international travel trade partners.

Visit York accompanied the group, providing a warm welcome on behalf of the city and offering guidance around the city centre and speaking with delegates about York’s visitor offer.

As part of the evening programme, the group enjoyed sightseeing stops facts at the York Christmas Market, JORVIK Viking Centre, Clifford’s Tower, York Castle Museum, the Shambles and York Minster and before their scheduled dinner.

The FAM group included Miki Travel staff and agents from a range of Asian markets, including Japan, Korea, China and Southeast Asia, as well as Europe. Supporting their familiarisation activity enabled Visit York to build and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers, highlight York’s appeal to long-haul audiences and showcase the city’s year-round visitor experience.
