New LVEP LinkedIn Channel Supports Tourism Growth Across York and North Yorkshire
Visit York, in partnership with Visit North Yorkshire, has launched a new LinkedIn page to share updates on the work of the York and North Yorkshire Local Visitor Economy Partnership. This new channel is designed to keep partners, stakeholders and tourism businesses informed about the collaborative work taking place to strengthen the visitor economy across York and North Yorkshire.
The York and North Yorkshire Local Visitor Economy Partnership, accredited by VisitEngland, brings together Visit York, Visit North Yorkshire, City of York Council and York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority to support the region’s tourism ambitions. The new LinkedIn page, run jointly by Visit York and Visit North Yorkshire, provides a dedicated space to share updates, opportunities and progress from the partnership.
Since achieving accreditation as an official VisitEngland Local Visitor Economy Partnership, the partners have been working collaboratively to deliver initiatives that support sustainable growth across the region’s visitor economy. This has included establishing the LVEP Board, bringing together public and private sector leaders to provide strategic guidance and help deliver the region’s Tourism Strategies and Destination Management Plans.
The partnership has also been driving travel trade engagement by showcasing York and North Yorkshire to key international buyers through VisitBritain trade missions, industry events and hosted familiarisation trips. Alongside this, the LVEP has supported industry development through initiatives such as the inaugural York and North Yorkshire Tourism Ambassadors Day, as well as supporting events including Hospitality: The Leaders of Tomorrow.
The LVEP continues to strengthen national collaboration, including deepening its partnership with VisitEngland and hosting the Chair of the VisitEngland Advisory Board during English Tourism Week. The partnership is also developing wider collaboration with fellow Yorkshire LVEPs through the Yorkshire Visitor Economy Partnership.
By creating a dedicated LinkedIn presence, the LVEP aims to help the visitor economy better understand the opportunity and potential of the partnership. The channel will be used to share regular updates, highlight collaborative activity and champion the region as a leading visitor destination.
Follow the new York and North Yorkshire Local Visitor Economy Partnership LinkedIn page to stay informed and follow the partnership’s journey as it continues to support tourism growth across York and North Yorkshire.
