Visit York has delivered another targeted programme of business support for its members, hosting a practical and insight-led workshop designed to help tourism businesses plan ahead with confidence.

The Visit York members’ event, Make 2026 Your Best Year Yet, took place on Tuesday 20 January 2026 at the Delta by Marriott York Hotel. Hosted by Visit York and delivered by Susan Briggs from The Tourism Network, the fast-paced workshop was packed with actionable tips and expert insights, sharing practical examples with attendees to showcase their businesses. Designed to help tourism and hospitality businesses take a proactive approach to the year ahead, the session focused on building confidence and clarity as part of longer-term business planning ensuring that York businesses continue to entice visitors with a wide of range of experiences.

By securing funded places for expert-led training for its members, Visit York continues to play an active role in supporting the sustainability and success of the city’s visitor economy. This workshop was part of the Boost programme, funded through York and North Yorkshire’s Shared Prosperity Fund, and formed part of our year-round programme of free members’ events.
