2026/27 Visit York Marketing Campaigns to Drive Year-Round Visitor Demand
Visit York has launched its 2026/27 Marketing Campaigns programme, giving members the opportunity to plan ahead and get involved in destination marketing that delivers proven results. Members are encouraged to explore the full campaigns pack early to understand timings, audiences and where their business can gain the greatest visibility.
Developed and delivered by the Visit York team, the programme sets out a year-long schedule of coordinated digital advertising, PR, social media and dedicated hub pages on visityork.org, designed to champion York’s culture, heritage, food and distinctive experiences. The campaigns are built to strengthen York’s position as a leading short-break destination and encourage longer, higher-value visits throughout the year.
The programme builds on the exceptional performance of Visit York’s 2025 campaigns. The Dream Days Out summer campaign reached almost 900,000 people, delivered 47,000 engagements and 694,000 video views, supported by strong hub traffic, high-performing eNewsletters and paid amplification across ITVX, YouTube and family networks.
Haunted York 2025 again delivered standout results, generating 2.4 million social impressions, 1.2 million video views and reaching 1.3 million people. With over 50% of views from 18–34-year-olds, the campaign successfully extended the autumn season and reinforced York’s position as a leading autumn destination.
The 2026/27 programme includes a national year-round platform positioning York as an inspiring short-break destination, alongside targeted seasonal campaigns covering Easter, summer and autumn. International activity will continue to promote York’s luxury, heritage and cultural offer through trade-led partnerships and global marketing, maintaining visibility in key overseas markets.
Visit York Members can engage through Key Partner and Supporter packages, offering strategic visibility during key planning and booking periods. Opportunities range from prominent branding within campaign creative and paid advertising to targeted placements across campaign hub pages and social channels, enabling businesses of all sizes to benefit from destination-wide promotion.
The launch has been shared via the Visit York website and directly with members, with further social media activity planned in the coming weeks to inspire take-up and highlight the benefits of involvement. Full campaign timings, audiences and participation details are available in the Visit York Marketing Campaigns 2026/27 pack, and members are encouraged to review this early to secure the best fit for their business.
By combining a clear forward plan with a track record of high-performing campaigns, the 2026/27 programme supports members to reach new audiences, drive demand outside peak periods and contribute to a stronger, more resilient visitor economy for York. Visit York looks forward to working with members across the year to bring these campaigns to life and maximise their impact for the city.
