Discover an alternative history of York by taking this unique guided walk through the city centre. York has a reputation for having a pub for everyday of the year. Find out about some of the oldest as well as the people and events associated with them. Inquests, riots, politics, plagues, religious influence, bizarre entertainments and strange auctions, York's pub history provides a strong picture of the social life of the city.
The guide is an experienced volunteer city guide who normally does the tours with donations to raise funds for Keep Your Pet service, part of Age UK York. The Keep Your Pet service is a service which enables older, vulnerable people keep their pets during times of crisis by fostering and feeding pets and walking dogs.

The tour guide will offer an optional refreshment break at the Olde Starre Inne with 20% discount on drinks and the tour will finish on Fossgate at 8.15pm-8:30pm
