Join us for a festive 'netwalk' through York with Blue Badge tourist guide Sarah Cowling and stroll through the original Christmas City.
Discover the histories of York's Christmas’ past from Roman Saturnalia, Viking mid-winter solstice, Victorian feasts and more recent traditions. Our walk will finish at York Museum Gardens with a chance to continue conversations over a warming drink at THOR'S Tipi, plus optional ice skating at 7:15 as THOR's on ICE launches a new covered outdoor ice rink behind York Art Gallery this year.
Timings:
5:00 Meet at the Visit York Information Centre on Back Swinegate
6:30 Arrive at York Museum Gardens for drinks at THOR'S Tipi
7:15-8:00 Optional skating at the launch of THOR's on ICE
Please note places are limited to two per business. Please let us know if you would like to stay for the 7:15 skating session at checkout when booking your ticket(s).
