Are you sick of screens? Tired of typing? Ansty about AI? Join us for a morning exploring the past of printing, get hands on with ink and type, and find out how you can support York's creative future. Thin Ice Press: the York Centre for Print is dedicated to securing the future of traditional printing, not just preserving the past but bringing it to life. Visit York members are invited for an exclusive tour led by director, Helen Smith, and manager, Lizzy Holling. You will learn about the Centre's big ambitions, and walk away with a unique souvenir print.
Explore the studio, featuring working presses from the mid-nineteenth century, and learn about York’s vibrant printing history. Lizzy and Helen will share details of the Centre's bespoke creative workshops and team building events, as well as sharing how you can support Thin Ice Press as they launch this exciting creative SME.
