York-based storyteller and local lass, Sasha Parker takes these stories off the page and onto the stage, the stage being the streets of York as she steps into the shoes of York's unsung heroines in this 90-minute street performance. This is fiction based on fact.

Learn how Celtic Queen Cartimandua came to be known as the people's peacekeeper but how she continued to wage war with her ex-husband long after their divorce. Find out what exactly was written in the stars for Roman Empress Julia Domna and how that shaped her reality. Let the Ivory Bangle Lady show you her final resting place and learn why she chose to call York her home. Meet Roman Goddess Minerva, Goddess of Wisdom, and mere mortal maiden, Arachne. Learn from Arachne's grave mistake.

Allow Lady Isabel German, York's Medieval Anchoress, to show you where she spent her days.
