Located in the heart of York, this award-winning tour offers an exciting and educational journey through the fascinating world of chocolate. Enjoy interactive exhibits, delicious tastings, and the chance to make your own chocolate – all wrapped in rich, local history.
At York’s Chocolate Story, taste your way through history as our entertaining tour guides lead you through the city’s sweet past and present - from the exotic origins of chocolate in the rainforests of Central America to the cobbled streets of Yorkshire. Along the way, you’ll learn about York’s most famous chocolate-making families and their iconic creations including the surprising secrets behind beloved treats like Chocolate Orange and the world-famous KitKat.
But the experience doesn’t stop there! Roll up your sleeves and decorate your very own chocolate lolly, complete with your choice of toppings and packaging to take home. You’ll also enjoy a live demonstration from one of our expert chocolatiers, before heading down to our café and gift shop, where you’ll find a tempting selection of chocolate treats and indulgent drinks.
