About Us
In the heart of York, just beyond the entrance of Bootham Bar, the Fat Badger features hearty food, real ales, and luxurious bedrooms. It offers views towards York Minster and Bootham Bar.
The bedrooms are beautifully decorated in earthy colours and they all have a private bathroom with luxury toiletries from Aromatherapy Associates. Guests can also enjoy free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee-making facilities.
Dine in style in The Fat Badger York with tables to choose from in our restaurant, private dining area or The Fat Badger bar. Or, if you'd like to dine alfresco we have a fantastic outdoor garden adjacent to York's historic city centre walls, overlooking the Minster. With new brand new Head Chef, you'll find delicious, classic British and international cuisine, with daily specials chosen from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Please note bookable tables are inside, all outside tables are on a first-come first-served basis.
York Minster is just a 2-minute walk from The Fat Badger and the National Railroad Museum is a 15-minute walk way. Leeds & Harrogate is a 40-minute drive away and guests can get discounted parking nearby.
