Join your eccentric character guide and get an up-close walking tour experience of the city and its delightful hidden gems. We know York is a marvellously mysterious place, and you are going to experience it at its best - culture, history, heritage, and best kept secrets await on this character led walking tour!
The Historical Gems Walking Tour invites you to slow down, look up, and see familiar streets with fresh eyes. Through humour, theatrical storytelling, and expert local knowledge, your character guide will reveal the surprising details that many residents pass every day without noticing!
And because no York experience is complete without chocolate, the tour also includes a delicious handmade taster from York’s Chocolate Story - a small but perfectly formed celebration of our city’s sweet heritage!
Whether you’ve lived in York for five years or fifty, you’ll leave with new stories to tell, new corners to revisit, and a renewed appreciation for the remarkable city on your doorstep.
Meeting Point: The Old Graveyard on Davygate (opposite Cooplands)
Date and Time: Wednesday 15 July, 1pm - 2:10pm - the tour lasts for approximately 1 hour 10 minutes.
Due to interest, please note that tickets are limited to two per business.
