Dean’s Garden Centre has been a cherished part of the local community for over 56 years. Located in Stockton-on-the-Forest, the York store was opened in 1968 by Mr & Mrs Dean, and it has since blossomed into a thriving hub for gardeners, covering more than four acres of beautiful outdoor space.

In 1993, after Mr & Mrs Dean retired, their three children took over the running of the business, continuing the legacy of excellent service and community spirit. After six decades of successful trading, the family made the decision to sell the business and embark on a well-earned retirement. Today, Dean’s Garden Centre is part of the Yorkshire Garden Centres family, which includes additional centres in Tong, Tingley, Otley, Bingley, and Huddersfield.

We’re currently undergoing exciting refurbishments at Dean’s York Garden Centre to enhance our facilities and offer an even better experience for you. While we’re making some updates, rest assured that the charm, warmth, and community feel you love about our garden centre will remain at the heart of everything we do. Browse our Hearty’s Food Hall offering where everything at our core is delicious, delivered with warmth and a good sprinkling of fun.
