With a fascinating exhibition on Catholic history in York, family-friendly interactives and a café and chapel, the Bar Convent is the perfect place to celebrate and discover more about Easter. Gather by candlelight for an atmospheric immersive reading of the Arma Christi which brings the ‘Passion of Christ’ to life. Experience a Middle English recital of this traditional Easter prayer as it would have been spoken 500 years ago. Set within the intimate surroundings of the historic library, a space rarely open to the public, and with an introduction to the Arma Christi prayer scroll in the exhibition- this is a rare opportunity not to be missed.
