York Unlocked organises the opening of buildings and open spaces of architectural merit to the public, free of charge, to foster public appreciation of the built landscape of the City of York.

York Unlocked is based on the successful models created 30 yrs ago by the Open Doors and Open House festivals in UK and across Europe which attract thousands of ordinary people to explore their urban landscape and experience the great buildings of their city each year.

York Unlocked website and social media channels. Building opening times 
vary, so be sure to check the York Unlocked website or printed program for detailed 
information. Please note, while entry to all sites is free, some require advance booking, 
especially for guided tours.
