Danby Lodge National Park Centre
About Us
Located on the outskirts of the village, Danby Lodge National Park Centre is at the very heart of the beautiful North York Moors and is the perfect place to start any visit to the National Park.
Find out about the people, places and wildlife of the North York Moors. Immerse yourself in the Land of Iron interactive exhibits telling the fascinating story behind the area's industrial ironstone past. Within the centre be sure to take a look at the acclaimed Inspired by… gallery, with its changing exhibitions of work by accomplished artists.
For kids, there’s an outdoor adventure play area, trails to explore the grounds, indoor play areas and a lively events programme. There are pushchair and wheelchair friendly woodland and riverside trails around the grounds and plenty of picnic areas and seating if you just want to sit back and soak up the fantastic views across the Esk Valley.
There's also an information area with friendly staff and lots of leaflets and literature on the North York Moors National Park. Remember your visit to this special place with a gift from the shop or sit back and enjoy a taste of the moors with a bite to eat from the Park Life Café.
