About
Come along and view all of Sledmere’s wedding venues: The Sykes Barn, The Courtyard Room, Sledmere House, The Marquee Lawn and The Orangery.
If you’re thinking about getting engaged, newly engaged, or starting to plan your big day, we’d love to welcome you to our FREE Wedding Fayre this June. It’s a chance to view our beautiful venues and meet the team who help bring your wedding day to life.
Your visit starts at The Sykes Barn, our characterful 18th century barn that remains one of our most popular spaces. A member of our wedding team will greet you with a welcome drink, a complimentary goody bag, supplier information and two free adult tickets to return and enjoy the Parkland and Gardens another day. The Sykes Barn offers complete flexibility, a private courtyard, and the added benefit of no corkage fees, giving you the freedom to shape your day exactly as you imagine it within your budget.
From there, if you’re wanting to view Sledmere House as an option, you can make an appointment to see all that this true fairytale setting has to offer. Inside, you’ll be able to view the rooms available for ceremonies and receptions, including: The Library, The Main Hall, The Drawing Room, and The Dining Room, ideal for a wedding breakfast.
You’ll also be able to step inside the Red Bedroom, where wedding parties can get ready before making a memorable entrance down the Imperial Staircase, complete with our signature petal drop.
Our newest venue, The Orangery, is an exclusive offering at Sledmere House and will be open to view. It is used predominently by the family, and offered only on a select few dates each year. It’s a space ideal for smaller celebrations in an intimate setting.
Just a short walk is St Mary’s Church that offers a traditional setting for couples wishing to marry in a church. For those dreaming of something bespoke, our Marquee Lawn provides a stunning backdrop for premium marquees overlooking the House, parterre and fountains. The Courtyard Room will also be open; a bright, modern space with exposed beams.
Register to attend the Wedding Fayre using the link here for your FREE tickets, or simply drop in anytime between 10.30am and 4pm. However, if you’d like to pre‑book a viewing of Sledmere House itself on the day, it is recommended that you contact our wedding co‑ordinator, Michaela, ahead of time to arrange a viewing on the day - you’re very welcome to get in touch.
