We’re delighted to be taking part in National Distillery Day on Friday 1st August - which is also Yorkshire Day.
York Distillery - our beautiful boutique city centre distillery - will be open all day and you’re invited! We’re just over the river from Clifford’s Tower in the delightful Middleton’s Hotel.
Pop in for live distilling demonstrations and informal tastings of our gold award-winning range of gins. The York Gin and York Distillery teams will be around to chat about all things distilling and taste.
It’s your chance to see our beautiful new boutique distillery first hand. Tickets are only £5 - which includes a York G&T.
The bar will be open all day so you can pop in for half an hour - or make a day of it! We’ll be serving the whole York Gin range as well as our Rutterkin Rum. You may even get a first taste of a brand new spirit!
We’ll also have Yorkshire beers, wines, and other refreshments available to enjoy as part of the festivities.
As York’s first legal distillery and a verified member of the Actually Made In initiative, we are opening for a special day of tastings and live distilling. This is a lovely opportunity to get a closer look at how our spirits are actually made – right in the heart of the city.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Throughout the day, visitors will have the chance to:
• Watch our distillers at work as they run live distillations
• Join informal tastings of our award-winning gins
• Chat to the team behind York’s original craft distillery
There is no formal structure, and you’re welcome to stay for as long as you like. It’s an open invitation to see the workings of a small independent distillery and celebrate local craft. The bar will be open too!

The York Distillery bar will also be open throughout the day, serving a full range of G&Ts, including our signature York Gin serves. Guests can also try our new Rutterkin Rum, with the possibility of an exclusive first look at a brand new spirit in development. A selection of beers, wines and other drinks will also be available to buy.
