From 26th–28th June, Magic Weekend returns as a city-wide celebration of experiences, storytelling, and family fun, brought to life by The Hole In Wand and The Potions Cauldron. Whether you’re planning a family day out or a grown-up escape into something a bit more spellbinding, there’s something waiting for you around every corner.

Across the weekend, you can dip into a full programme of magical experiences:

Kick things off with the Adult Potions Class on Friday 26th for a more grown-up twist on wizardry. Then over the weekend (Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th), families can set off on Potions Academy Walking Tours, running several times a day and perfect for curious minds of all ages bookable via our website. You’ll also spot the wonderfully unpredictable Mad Alice, bringing a little extra chaos and charm to the The Hole In Wand York.

To make the weekend even more special, guests can pick up a Magic Weekend Wristband from The Hole In Wand York or The Potions Cauldron. Think of it as your key to a few extra surprises across the city.
