Award winning modern grandstands, characterful listed buildings, manicured lawns and home grown flowers set the scene for the best of racedays at York. York Racecourse stages 18 racedays from May until October, offering a world class horseracing experience for visitors of all ages.

The world’s best racehorses can be seen whilst enjoying locally sourced food. Additional entertainment such as headline music concerts, family events and fashion at the races are a feature of racedays throughout the season. Our flagship meeting, the Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival, takes place in August each year. It’s the week to visit York for a fabulous four day festival of racing.

Wednesday means our richest ever contest, the Juddmonte International and a total prize fund for the day of over £1 million. Thursday, our Ladies Day, the Darley Yorkshire Oaks. Friday sees the fastest thoroughbreds contest the Coolmore Nunthorpe. Ebor Saturday will see the richest flat handicap in Europe, the Sky Bet Ebor. We also have a range of restaurants, boxes and unique locations provide the chance to tailor make your own raceday.
