About Us
The Potions Academy contains two core elements including, ‘The Potions Class’ and ‘The Broom School.’
The Broom School will give witches and wizards the opportunity to fly from Goathland in the North Yorkshire Moors back to Shambles York via key landmarks including Whitby Abbey and Castle Howard with a potion and souvenir video to take away … but beware of the dragon.

The Potions Class is a magical family experience led by the potion master who will impart the wisdom of esteemed alchemist and wizard of the highest order; Phileas Fry. As well as learning the secrets of Fry, every graduating wizard and witch will receive their very own magical potion and graduation badge.
- This experience will last 30 minutes and is accessible only up a flight of stairs.
- Recommended for ages 5 plus.

We are open 10:00 - 18:00 during school holidays and Saturdays
We are open 11:00 - 17:00 out of school holidays, we are also closed Tuesday - Thursday
