It’s now even better value to ride Coastliner between York, Malton & Scarborough in 2020, as rail prices rise once again. At just £38, a week’s unlimited travel on Coastliner is a whopping £40 per week cheaper than taking the train between York and Scarborough. It’s better value over the shorter distances too at over £8 cheaper than the train between York and Malton and nearly £3 cheaper between Malton and Scarborough.

And it’s much better value even than that! The £38 ticket can be used on all Transdev buses across the North, including the popular Cityzap between Leeds and York, the 36 every 10 minutes from Leeds to Harrogate, as well as into West Yorkshire and across the pennines into Lancashire.

There’s a bus between York and Malton every 30 minutes on Coastliner, and onto Scarborough every hour.
