The Orchid Vegan restaurant is easily found in York city centre on George Hudson Street and was created an run by a local couple who wanted to share Chinese vegan cuisine with the citizens of York and the city's many tourist visitors.

Our chef is excited to present a vision of modern vegan cooking for you and your guests. The food is very tasty and attractive and you can be assured that no animal parts, produce, or related ingredients are allowed on the premises. It's pure vegan.

There is a full licensed bar with a nice selection of international wines as well as Thai and Chinese lagers.

We are very conscious of people's allergies. Please discuss any allergy concerns with our staff when placing your order. You may note that all the vegan 'mock meat' dishes contain soy protein, gluten and potato starch. Vegan seafood dishes contain soy protein, konjac and may contain gluten. All sauces are vegan. Frankly everything is vegan!
