National Railway Museum Conference Non-Residential Venue
About Us
As the nation comes together to deal with the threat of coronavirus, we have decided to close our museum to the public until further notice.
The award-winning National Railway Museum, the largest of its kind in the world, makes a truly memorable venue for events. The facilities consist of two large halls, one housing some of the world’s most iconic locomotives, the other a beautiful platform setting with luxurious carriages including a collection of ornate Royal Saloons. Receptions for up to 1000 guests and banquets for up to 800 can be held in the halls, where guests are immersed among these famous exhibits. The Museum’s dedicated conference centre won ‘Conference Venue of the Year’ in both the 2010 and 2013 Visit York Tourism Awards and was recently refurbished to further improve the facilities. The Countess of York The Countess of York is a beautifully restored Pullman-style railway carriage in the heart of the National Railway Museum’s courtyard.
