About Us
Standing in twenty acres of award-winning gardens and parkland, yet five minutes from York City Centre, Middlethorpe Hotel is a delightful William III country house built in 1699. To book a room direct, click HERE.
After a period of neglect, the Hall was purchased by Historic House Hotels and was sympathetically restored with decoration, antiques and fine pictures carefully chosen as consistent with the period of the house. The comfortable and fully equipped bedrooms and suites, each decorated individually, are located in the historic Hall and in the attractively restored 18th century Courtyard adjacent to it.
The panelled dining rooms overlooking the gardens and the imaginative food (2 AA rosettes) follow the hotel's theme of traditional excellence. Special packages are also available and there is a health and beauty spa with indoor pool, gymnasium and treatment rooms.
Middlethorpe Hall is part of the National Trust. All profits donated to the charity.

Hotel every day 24hrs
Restaurant:
Dinner is served every day from 18:30hrs - 21:30hrs (last orders)
Luncheon is available on Saturday and Sunday served from 12:30hrs – 13:45hrs.
Afternoon Tea Monday to Saturday: from 13:30hrs to 17:30hrs
Afternoon Tea Sunday: from 15:00hrs to 17:30hrs
