Red squirrels are one of the Arboretum’s most cherished residents, and this informal talk offers a wonderful opportunity to learn more about these fascinating animals and the efforts made to protect them. Led by knowledgeable members of the team, the session explores red squirrel behaviour, habitat and why the Arboretum is such an important refuge for them.
Announcing a new arrival: A young male has arrived at the Castle Howard Arboretum and, following our naming competition where thousands of people of all ages casted their vote, we can reveal his name is David Attenborough!
