About

Head to Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal for an entire summer jam-packed full of fun and games. Join in the fun from 18 July to 6 September. You’ll be hopping, skipping and jumping around different activity stations and racing to have a go at games you might have never seen before!

Calling Pokémon fans new and old! This Summer of Play, Pokémon are jumping into the great outdoors near you. Are you ready to share the magic with a new generation? On top of an already jam-packed Summer of Play, discover all-new Pokémon zones. Get stuck into the Pokémon Trading Card Game, flex your skills and collect Mega Evolution stickers! Plus, join the Pokémon Trading Card Game Mega Evolution Trail. Team up as a family to search for each Mega Evolution Pokémon, discover their powers, and complete your own challenges. Discover Pokémon zones in the Ball Games Field. Don’t forget your imagination…

In addition to all that excitement, see what else is in store…

  • Challenge your friends and family to a game of soft archery. Who's going to win the space hopper racing? Hop on a balance bike and see who can reach the finish line first.
  • Head to Swanley Grange every Monday to take part in a crafting workshop.
  • Join in the circus workshop every Wednesday and have a go at learning a new skill like the diabolo, plate spinning and juggling.
  • Get active with Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation every Thursday. Expect high-energy fun, team games and keep an eye out for special appearances from Harrogate Town AFC mascot, Harry Gator.
  • Chill out with a storytelling from our friends at Ripon Library every Friday.
  • Make some noise every Sunday at our Music Workshop.
  • If you still have some energy, head to the play area where inquisitive little minds can be let loose to play even more.

Summer of Play activities will be taking place between 10am and 4pm on the ball games field at the visitor centre so little legs won't have to far to wander very far.
