Step aboard our heritage steam train for a magical Christmas journey this festive season. You'll be welcomed by Santa's cheeky elves before enjoying a personal visit from Santa on board. Every child will also receive a gingerbread man plush toy (20cm tall) and a festive book to take home.
Relax and enjoy the winter scenery as the elves fill the journey with songs, games and festive fun. Back at the station, the Christmas magic continues with festive fete games and a letter to Santa post box, so be sure to leave a little extra time to enjoy it all.
On Board The Train
Enjoy an hour-long round trip between Pickering and Levisham. Along the way, Santa and his elves will come to find you, bringing a gift for every child.
You will meet Elton Elf, our musical genius, Chef Custard, who cooks for Santa and Rudolf, and Joey Marshmallow, our resident trickster elf.
Keep an eye out for Gingersnap, our gingerbread puppet. He arrives on a baking tray after having a bit of a mishap in the kitchen and throughout the show the elves will be on hand to help piece together what happened.

- 5, 6, 12 & 13 December - £34.50 per person
- 19, 20, 22, 23 & 24 December - £39.50 per person
- Carer Ticket - £17.50 per carer
- Wheelchair User tickets also available online
A £1.50 booking fee applies per booking.

We are open from 09.00 to 18.15 Saturday – Wednesday from 28 March to 1 November 2026 (and bank holidays) excluding 23 July to 9 September when we are open every day. See website and timetable for full details.
