About
It’s smelly, it’s squelchy and it wouldn’t be the Viking Festival without it! Poo Week is back at DIG.
Believe it or not, poo can tell us a lot about the past. Bring the kids along to discover why archaeologists are fascinated by this unexpected treasure. They’ll even get the chance to create their own replica fossilised dragon poo, inspired by the world of dragons!
Our current exhibition, Cressida Cowell’s How to Train Your Dragon School, explores the world of dragons and includes a conservation lab where you can discover more about the work involved in looking after archaeological finds.
While you’re in the area, why not visit JORVIK Viking Centre to see the famous Lloyds Bank Turd for yourself and discover what this remarkable find can tell us about the past?
