About
Join us for a series of informal evening talks about nature and landscapes, every third Tuesday of the month in the Courtyard Café.
In June Future Landscapes will travel out on the tractor and trailer to visit Castle Howard regenerative farming cropping trials and will discuss the challenges and opportunities in transitioning to farming systems where we’re working in partnership with nature.
Our Future Landscapes talks explore how we see, interact with, and manage our unique local landscapes, with a presentation by a guest speaker followed by an open Q&A.
The discussions will cover how we need to manage and prepare our landscapes to respond to climate change, protect biodiversity and create more space for nature. The Castle Howard landscapes produce food, fibre, and fuel, create opportunities to preserve knowledge and skills, and provide a playground for leisure, wellbeing, and exercise. This rolling series of talks will include a diverse range of speakers working in the field to ensure our collective landscapes are fit for future.
These events are free to attend, but we kindly ask you to book a ticket to reserve your place. Tickets are limited and available on a first come first served basis.Light refreshments will be available during the evening.
