About Us

Built in 2019/20 in Great Ouseburn, between the Yorkshire Dales and Moors, The Lime Tree Inn is a family-run country gastropub serving seriously good food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We have been growing a great reputation in North Yorkshire. Situated only 15 miles from York city centre this new build country inn is full of charm, decorated with layer upon layer of character.

Recently included in the MICHELIN GUIDE, you are sure to have a delicious meal showcasing Yorkshire's finest produce in a sustainable way. Our gastropub menu is seasonal and is constantly evolving depending on what is available on the market as well as our own kitchen garden and polytunnel. View Sample Menus.

Inspired by Nature, our 7 luxurious bedrooms including one family room, have been named after trees growing in the British landscape. All bedrooms are individually decorated and furnished to reflect the character of the tree that it is named after.

Designed with your comfort in mind all rooms feature award winning beds draped in high quality Egyptian cotton bedding. Most en-suite bedrooms showcase a large walk in shower as well as separate baths, complemented by a luxurious collection of vegan and environmentally friendly bath and body products.

For our guests that are differently abled we have designed the Inn to allow for easy access to all areas, including a lift to our first floor. Offering step free access to 4 bedrooms and the whole restaurant and bar area on the ground floor.

Rated 5 stars by AA with a Breakfast Awarded included on Wednesday to Saturdays stays, you can enjoy a peaceful night of sleep in our quiet village and have a breakfast that will set you off for the day. We also offer Room Only rates for Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays while the restaurant and bar are not open. Therefor you can enjoy all the luxury our hotel has to offer before or after a day out enjoying the picturesque towns and cities in our surrounding area.

We are the perfect stop with easy access from and to the A1, a great location to unwind and explore North Yorkshire.
