Hi, my name is Jelle (I am Dutch and pronounced Yella). I set up LoveYork because I love York and really enjoy hosting people.

We were one of the first Airbnb hosts in York in 2011 and have now hosted over 10 000 guests, becoming the number 1 Airbnb and Booking.com team in York with over 5000 + reviews.

We provide 1 bed flats, 2 & 3 bed properties and guest house style accommodation mostly in the centre of York. We also help manage holiday accommodation for owners and landlords.

I started my journey with renting out rooms in my 5 bedroom house on Airbnb, moving on to a luxury houseboat capable of sleeping 10 people, then a wide beam narrow boat and another boat was added as well as a shepherd's hut! Over time we grew our business by providing some really unusual accommodation and looking after our guests. Judging by our reviews, people loved it!

During the pandemic we had to shrink our portfolio significantly and now focus on a much more manageable number of properties enabling us to give our guests a super personal service. We now have have a small team but I am still very hands on and love meeting my guests and recommending the best York has to offer.
