Highwayman Tours runs private driven day tours from York for up to four guests. Your group has its own vehicle and a local Yorkshire driver-guide, so you can see castles, abbeys, moors, dales and coastline in a single day without hiring a car or joining a coach tour.

Every tour is relaxed and personal, with pick-up from your York hotel or accommodation, time for lunch and photographs, and a route that can flex around your group. Selected tours can also start and finish in Harrogate or Leeds. Prices are per private group rather than per person, and admission tickets, food and drink are paid separately.

Your driver-guide is Kes, a Yorkshireman who has lived in York for more than 25 years. You travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned hybrid car, and if anyone in your group has mobility or access needs, just mention it when you book so the day can be planned around them.
