Volunteer at Yorkshire Day!
We welcome community-spirited volunteers of all ages and abilities to assist in a variety of tasks. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet other people, have lots of fun and contribute to the smooth running and success of Yorkshire Day.
Volunteer Roles Available:
- General Stewards: Welcoming visitors at the gate, ensuring grounds are free from litter.
- Guest Information: Staffing information point, answering queries, registering Dog Show entries.
- Show Set-Up. Help set-up distinct spaces, rope off the area and transport equipment to the site. (Day before/Morning of show)
- Parking Stewards: Directing traffic, assisting in the smooth operation of vehicle flow.
- Craft Tent Volunteers: Registering entries, liaising with judges, returning entries at day end.
Skills and qualities needed for the role:
No specific skills required - just enthusiasm and a willingness to have fun! If you do have any particular skills, we would love to hear about them. Age 14+
We ask for a commitment of 4 Hours of your time in return for:
- FREE entry to the show
- Complimentary soft drink & hot snack
- Time to explore and enjoy the show
- Meet fantastic new people and support a great cause
Volunteers will be given a Yorkshire Day T-shirt to wear during their shift (stocks allowing)
