About

Explore the Shaded Dell in the Sledmere Walled Garden.

Join Head Gardener Jan for a wander down our Shaded Dell, which runs along the outer area of the Sledmere Walled Garden - highlighting the range of ferns and interesting shade-loving plants that grow there.

This is a chance to go behind-the-scenes and see some of the work of the Sledmere Gardens Team.

The talk lasts approximately 30 minutes, plus time for questions.

Meet at the entrance to The Walled Garden, 5 minutes prior to the start of the talk.

Please note that wheelchair access is limited on the Shaded Dell talk, due to uneven surfaces. Full access is available on the majority our other garden talks throughout the year.

Tickets:

General Parkland and Gardens Admission, plus Walled Garden Talk: £21.00

Sledmere 2026 Season Ticket Holder/Sledmere 2025 Friends Member/HH Member/YGHCG Member: £5.00
