The Choir of York Minster gives its traditional annual performance of Bach’s popular Cantata 140, ‘Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme’ (Sleepers, wake), with orchestral accompaniment at Evensong for the Sunday next before Advent.
Entry to the service is free, with no booking required.
This service will also be livestreamed via the York Minster YouTube channel and on the York Minster website.
Doors will open at 3.30pm.
York Minster Opening Hours
General visiting:
Mon – Sat: 9.30am – 5pm (last admission 4pm)
Sun: 12.45pm – 3.30pm (last admission at 2.30pm).
