About
This Easter, embark on an unforgettable school holiday adventure at Eden Camp Modern History Museum, an original Prisoner of War camp that brings the sights, sounds, and smells of 1940s Britain vividly to life. From 30th March to 12th April, families are invited to step back in time and enjoy a packed programme of engaging, hands-on activities designed to entertain, inspire, and educate visitors of all ages.
Children can take part in The Great Easter Egg-scape Trail, running every day throughout the holidays. Young detectives will search the museum site for hidden eggs, solve clues, and decode a secret wartime message before earning a well-deserved treat from the shop. Alongside the trail, selected days feature creative workshops inspired by real wartime experiences and ingenuity.
Discover how families coped with rationing during the Second World War in The Carrot’s on a Stick workshop, where children learn how carrots were cleverly used as a sweet alternative before creating their own colourful carrot treats. Budding artists can also get creative in the Propaganda Egg Art workshop, decorating eggs inspired by iconic wartime posters while learning how powerful messages helped shape behaviour and boost morale.
With immersive history, creative fun, and memorable experiences, Eden Camp is the perfect destination for a fun-filled and meaningful Easter holiday.
