About
An exhibition of photographs by Elise Thomas.
An Unmissable Exhibition:
Boxing Hares and Other Sledmere Animals by Elise Thomas.
Boxing Hares and Other Sledmere Animals, celebrating the incredible talent of Elise Thomas. Following an overwhelmingly successful opening, with national recognition, this photography exhibition has now been extended, offering more opportunities to experience Elise’s exceptional work.
This collection showcases Elise’s stunning passion for wildlife photography. Tragically, Elise passed away last year at the age of 17, following a road traffic accident. A gifted young photographer from Sledmere, Elise’s love for capturing the wildlife in and around her village began during the Covid-19 lockdown. Her patience and dedication to her craft quickly earned her accolades, including the RSPCA Young Photographer of the Year Award in 2021.
This exhibition presents a unique opportunity to view her legacy through her breathtaking photography. Prints of her work are available for purchase, with all proceeds supporting photography students at East Riding College in Beverley, where Elise was a student.
