Join us for an exclusive tour of Ampleforth Abbey Church.
Our popular church tours are back, running on Sunday and Thursday afternoons. You'll be led by a monk who will take you on a journey of exploration through the church's history and striking Sir Giles Gilbert Scott's architecture. You'll visit rarely seen areas of the church including the Crypt and learn interesting facts about its many chapels and other features.
This special tour will be hosted by the Abbot of Ampleforth Abbey, Abbot Robert.
Our Visitor Centre and Abbey Shop will also be open (10am-5pm) for you to explore on the day of your tour, as well as our Tea Room, where home-cooked food is served in a beautiful setting.

Spring/Summer Opening Hours
Tea Room, Gift Shop & Visitor Centre open 10.00-17.00 daily.
Autumn/Winter Opening Hours (November 3rd 2024 - March 30th 2025)
The Visitor Centre, Abbey Shop and Tea Room will open Wednesday-Sunday 11am-3pm during the Winter months. The Abbey Church remains open to visitors every day.
