The Area

Located less than 30 minutes from York in the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the picturesque villages of Coneysthorpe and Welburn are perfectly placed to access many places of interest. The surrounding area offers a great choice of walks of all distances and abilities with a lovely gentle stroll along the lake side of The Great Lake just a few minutes walk from Coneysthorpe.

The village of Welburn has a popular village pub and a bakery & coffee shop, all within walking distance of Chanting Hill Farmhouse. The nearby market town of Malton is know as the food capital of Yorkshire and offers an impressive collection of shops, restaurants and pubs. The monthly food market is a must visit. The rugged Yorkshire Coast in less than an hours drive away making it the perfect day trip.
