All Creatures Great and Small Tour

About Us
Embark on a captivating 9-hour mini-coach journey through the picturesque Yorkshire Dales with the All Creatures Great and Small Tour. This immersive experience is designed for fans of James Herriot’s beloved books and television adaptations, both the original 1970s BBC series and the recent Channel 5 remake.
Tour Highlights:
• The World of James Herriot: Begin your adventure in central York, traveling to Thirsk to explore the award-winning visitor attraction housed in the original home and veterinary surgery of James Herriot. Delve into exhibits that recreate Herriot’s 1940s living quarters and gain insights into rural veterinary practices of the time.
• Iconic Filming Locations: Visit over 15 notable sites from both television adaptations. Enjoy a break at the Drovers Arms, see where James proposed to Helen, and explore Darrowby Station from the original series. In Hawes, discover locations such as Darrowby Church, Darrowby Cattle Market, Darrowby Country Club, and Skeldale House—the fictional veterinary practice.
• Lunch and Leisure: Savor lunch in a village that featured the Drovers Arms pub from the 1970s series, immersing yourself in the ambiance of the show.
• Darrowby Village Exploration: Conclude with a guided walking tour in the village that represents the fictional Darrowby in the latest adaptation. Visit the exteriors of the Drovers Arms, G F Endleby Grocers, Handleys Booksellers, Darrowby Cycle Shop, Darrowby Hardwares, Skeldale House, and J. A. Dean Drapers and Hosiery.
