Don't let the fear of parking and traffic haunt your Halloween fun! Explore York with York Park & Ride. Just download the First Bus app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. An Adult Return ticket is just £3.80 and up to three children go free, with buses up to every 12 minutes and free parking for your broomstick (and car!).

If you like things a little more gruesome, big kids and adults brave enough can take on The York Dungeon shows. The York Dungeon mashes up theatre, special effects and intriguing storytelling with wit, humour, and plenty of edge-of-the-seat surprises for an experience like no other!

🎡 In St Sampson's Square, the iconic Big Wheel returns from 5th October to 1st November, offering breath-taking views of the city, while giant inflatable tentacles will add a monstrous twist from 28th October to 1st November.

💀 Lower Parliament Street comes alive with Halloween-themed tree lighting and a carnival featuring sideshow activities like "Hook a Skeleton" and "Smash a Pumpkin" with even more giant tentacles emerging from the Visit York Information Centre.

👻 On King's Square, embark on the petrifying ghost train from 18th October to 1st November.

🐉 Meet York BID's dragons during The Dragon Experience from 2 pm to 6 pm on 26th October, on Parliament Street and St Sampson’s Square.

🎃 On 31st October, watch live pumpkin carving by Sand in Your Eye, with Make It York and York BID, on Middle and Upper Parliament Street, where the Made in Yorkshire Autumnal Market will also be in full swing from 24th October to 1st November.

🦉 Over at Shambles Market, families can enjoy The Magical Owl Trail, searching for uniquely designed owls hidden among the stalls from 28th October until 3rd November. Plus, you could win one of 35 amazing prizes or a grand prize bundle!
