York Visitor Survey - Terms and Conditions 

• The prize is 2x One Day Visit York Pass and a £100 Amazon eGift Card
• One winner will be selected randomly every three months on the first working day of that month. 
• The winner will be contacted via their submitted email address. If no response is received within seven working days, Make It York reserves the right to draw a new winner at random. 
• The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
• Personal details collected for the prize draw will not be used for any other purpose and will be processed in accordance with GDPR for the specific purpose of this prize draw. We will only use your personal data in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, and your personal data will be deleted once the draw has taken place.
• All displayed survey questions must have been completed to be eligible for the prize draw.
• Multiple entries of the same email address will be disqualified; suspected BOT entries will also be disqualified from participating in the prize draw. 
• The winner is responsible for any additional costs while using the prize.

Eligibility

This giveaway (the "Giveaway") is open to all individuals aged 18 or over who complete the survey during the entry period. The Giveaway is open to UK residents only and is void where prohibited by law. Employees, independent contractors, interns, officers, directors, and agents of Make It York (the "Sponsor"), their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household are not eligible to participate. The Giveaway is subject to all applicable UK laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

Agreement to Rules

By entering the Giveaway, the entrant ("You") agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the Sponsor. You represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, you agree to accept the Sponsor’s decisions as final and binding in all matters relating to the Giveaway.

How to Enter

The entry must fulfil all Giveaway requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Only one entry per person is permitted.

Prize

The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at the Sponsor's discretion. The prize is non-transferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the Winner.

Odds of Winning

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Winner Selection and Notification

The Winner will be selected by a random draw conducted by the Sponsor after the closing date. The Winner will be notified within 7 days of selection using the contact details provided in the survey. The Sponsor shall have no liability for a Winner's failure to receive notifications due to spam, junk email, or other security settings, or for the provision of incorrect or non-functioning contact information. If the Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim the prize within 28 days of notification, an alternate Winner may be selected.

Data Protection

Personal information collected as part of this Giveaway will be processed in accordance with UK data protection law and Make It York’s Privacy Policy. Your contact information will be used only for the administration of this Giveaway unless you have opted in to receive marketing communications.

Rights Granted by You

By entering the Giveaway, you grant the Sponsor the right, where permitted by law, to use your name and general location (e.g., city or county) for promotional purposes in connection with the Giveaway, without further compensation or notice.

Terms & Conditions

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Giveaway should any cause beyond the Sponsor’s control affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Giveaway. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or violates these Terms & Conditions.

Limitation of Liability

By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, loss, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from (i) participation in the Giveaway; (ii) acceptance, possession, or use of the prize; or (iii) any technical errors or unauthorised intervention that affects the administration of the Giveaway.

Disputes

This Giveaway is governed by the laws of England and Wales. By participating, you agree that any disputes arising under or in connection with the Giveaway shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
