The Sunday Stopover
About
Escape to the North Yorkshire countryside for a Sunday night devoted to slowing down and switching off at The Abbey Inn, Byland.
Arrive from 4pm and settle into the peaceful surroundings of Byland before joining us downstairs for an award-winning Sunday roast (voted the Best in Britain in 2024!), with a £50 per person dining allowance included. Afterwards, retreat to the comfort of your room where a Bath Bliss Kit awaits, and let the evening unfold at an unhurried pace.
The following morning, wake to the quiet of the countryside before enjoying a hearty Oldstead breakfast at The Black Swan, just a mile away. Take your time over breakfast before checking out by 10.30am. Choose from one of three bedrooms at The Abbey Inn, beside the ruins of Byland Abbey, or stay at our sister site in one of The Black Swan’s garden view rooms.
A £100 per room, per night deposit is required to secure your booking. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival will forfeit the deposit unless we are able to relet the room. Outside 14 days, the deposit will be refunded less a £10 administration fee.
