This year marks a very special milestone at The Black Swan, as we celebrate 20 years since the Banks family took the reins. It has been an extraordinary two decades of evolution and culinary creativity, and we are delighted to be bringing together the head chefs who have shaped that journey for a series of exclusive anniversary evenings in Oldstead.

Join Tommy Banks for an exclusive dining experience alongside Will Lockwood – now Head Chef at our sister restaurant, Roots York, and Executive Chef, Callum Leslie, with a menu of iconic Oldstead dishes that defined their era at the helm of The Black Swan. Expect favourite dishes including Tommy’s signature Crapaudine Beetroot, alongside a reimagined version of his 10/10 Great British Menu dish, Douglas Fir, Sheep’s Yoghurt & Lemon Verbena and current classics such as Callum’s Dexter Beef Rib Eye. We’ll also be welcoming shellfish back to the menu for these exclusive evenings, blending perfectly with locally grown produce in Will’s Crab & Asparagus dish.

The package includes an overnight stay in one of our beautiful bedrooms. Check in and take time to relax in your room with a chilled glass of Pol Roger Champagne before joining us in the restaurant for dinner.

Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep before waking up to the North Yorkshire countryside and a hearty Oldstead breakfast, with a signed copy of Tommy’s cookbook for you to take with you on departure.
