Join us over York Residents' Weekend, 25 - 26th January 2025, for an exclusive FREE tour of the fascinating Ampleforth Abbey Church designed by eminent architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott.

You'll be led by a monk and one of our knowledgeable volunteers, who will take you on a journey of exploration through the church's history and striking architecture. You'll visit rarely seen areas of the church including the Crypt and learn interesting facts about its many chapels and other fascinating features.

Tours will take place at 11am and 1.30pm on Saturday 25th January, and at 1.30pm on Sunday 26th January.

You're also welcome to join a FREE interactive session in our Visitor Centre, 'Everything you've ever wanted to know about life as a monk', led by Ampleforth monk, Fr Bede, from 12.15 - 1.15pm.

Our Tea Room and Abbey Shop will also be open 11am - 3pm both days, where hearty home-cooked food is served in a beautiful setting.
