York Attractions' Week
2 for 1 entry to the garden
About
To celebrate York Attractions Week we are offering a 2 for 1 entry to the garden on the afternoon of 19th August (13:00 - 17:00). Enjoy an afternoon in nature as you browse the different areas of the garden. Our herbaceous border is a magnet for butterflies and bees. In the shade by the wildlife pond look out for dragonflies, or just enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Rill Garden.
We will also be hosting an exhibition of wire sculptures by Richard Gibson in the garden. The tea room will be open for light refreshments and we have a small gift shop selling locally sourced products. The tea room also doubles as art space, and local artist Rachel Jones will feature in an exhibition entitled "Joyfully Celebrating Local Flora and Fauna."
Finally pop in to our plant nursery, where you can buy many of the plants that you will have seen in the garden - there is still time to plant for some late summer colour.
