Established in 2002, Oneworld Travel Group is a small, independent travel agency with three locations across Yorkshire, including Wakefield, Beverley, Yarm, and our brand-new York city centre travel agency branch.

As we continue to grow, we are now looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Travel Sales Consultant in York to help establish and develop our newest location.

🌍 The Role – Travel Sales Consultant (York)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced travel consultant in York to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building a new branch from the ground up while delivering exceptional tailor-made travel experiences.

You will be responsible for selling and designing bespoke holidays, supporting customers from enquiry through to booking, and delivering excellent service across all aspects of travel planning.

✨ Key Responsibilities

• Designing and selling tailor-made holidays and long-haul travel packages
• Providing expert travel advice across destinations including North America, the Far East, and Australasia
• Delivering excellent customer service in a busy travel agency environment
• Using travel booking systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Handling administration, quotes, and booking documentation
• Supporting the growth of a new York travel agency branch

👤 About You

We are looking for a passionate and proactive individual who thrives in a customer-focused environment.

You will ideally have:

• At least 1 year of travel industry experience (preferred)
• A genuine passion for travel, holidays, and global destinations
• Strong experience in a customer service or sales environment
• Confident communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude
• Good IT skills, including travel systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong organisational and administration abilities
• Ability to work well in a small team and contribute to business growth

🌏 Training & Development

As specialists in bespoke long-haul travel, full training will be provided on key destinations including:

• North America
• Far East Asia
• Australasia

You will also receive ongoing support to develop your product knowledge and sales skills within an independent travel agency environment.
